More than just a walk in the park

CAFOD Salford's third Walk In the Park event was a resounding success, with thousands of pounds being raised by competitors enjoying glorious sunshine in Manchester.

Walkers from across Lancashire and Greater Manchester eager to burn off Easter eggs and raise money for CAFOD took part in the event, held in Manchester’s Heaton Park.

Competitors enjoyed glorious sunshine as temperatures reaching a heady 23°C, and were greeted by local Manchester celebrity, Wilf McGuinness, ex-Manchester United footballer and manager, who also started the race and handed out certificates to competitors as they finished.
