Parishioner Mary Swane was 100 years on Thursday 10th November. The occasion was marked by a birthday party at Hillview Nursing Home where she now lives and a
telegram from the Queen which was delivered by Rossendale Mayor Gladys Sandiford.
On Sunday 13th November following a Mass celebrated by Canon Lupton she was presented with a papal blessing after which another party was held in the
St James the Less Parish Centre.
