How to use MS Paint to reducing the size of the image file.

This is much simpler than it first looks:

First right-click on the icon of the first picture which you want to send.

Then in the menu which appears (headed Open) take the pointer down to the item Open With.

Hesitate there for a second to give the second menu box time to open then go to Paint and left click on it.

The picture now opens in the 'Paint' Program.

Left-click on Image (at the top of the screen)  then in the menu

which opens click on Resize/Skew.

In the Resize and Skew box which you've just opened set the

figure opposite Horizontal to 25% and set the Vertical to the

same value.

Click on OK and you'll see the photo displayed at its new size.

If you feel the photo is too large or too small you can try other

values higher or lower than 25%.

But Note!! Don't try to resize the small picture or the quality will

be adversely affected.  Instead left-click Edit  then Undo to get

back the original full-size picture, then repeat the operation from

 the top of this section.

Finally, left-click on File then left-click on Save As.

Note, that if you just click on Save then the original photo file will be overwritten and will be lost for ever.

In the box which now opens decide where you want to save the new smaller file.  If you decide to save it in the original folder you must change the name to avoid

over-writing the original photo file.

And that's it!  Much easier than it sounds.

Repeat with any other photos then send them off in an e-mail.
